Chat Review for Weeks 1 & 2

While I have not been able to attend several chats due to some scheduling errors, I have loved being able to catch up with my peers as well as get assignment clarification from the chat logs and recordings. I am very glad that these sessions are recorded so that I am able to go back and reference them as far as questions that I had. This came in very handy this week when I had some questions about the podcast and our actual assignment.  I do have a little gripe and that is about being able to get into chats. I have tried to get in to several but have been unable to obtain permissions to attend. I am not sure but I do plan to start arriving earlier to make sure that I can get into the chat rooms.

Digital Story Telling

For EDLD 5363, we had to create a personal digital story that expressed something is our lives. I chose to focus on what brought me into technology and why I am where I am now. It was a very interesting project and really made me do some serious thinking. I love technology because it gives us the abilities to learn, to create and to share everything. I teach because I love the fulfillment of a job well done and there is nothing better than a room of students hanging on your every word. When I put these things together along with budgets, no training and a general bad mood about technology on my campus, I get me! I love creating this video because of how it made me reflect on myself as not only a reading teacher but as a teacher of technology driving students into the future.
